Please take the time to read this to ensure you have the best time possible while Roleplaying. The Message of the Day is updated often so please regularly check for those updates and changes.
 
General Rules (Common Sense)

1. Don't be a dick, everyone is trying to have fun.
1a. Use Common Sense.
1b. Don't lawyer.
2. Do not RDM. Killing everyone in sight is not cool.
2a. Do not break NLR, NLR is five minutes long. NLR is the "new life rule" in which you do not remember anything from your previous life.
2b. Do not CDM. You must no collide your car before driving out on the streets. Killing people with you car isn't cool.
3. Do not Metagame, this means using any information outside of RP to roleplay.
4.Propsurfing,propclimbing,propblocking,propspamming,propminging is not allowed.
5. Do not FailRP. (e.g. Mayor and CP participating in illegal activities, such as owning printers, drugs, etc.)
6. Posting malicious links is not allowed.
7a. Raids can only take place in a building owned by someone, at a megabase, raiders may kill everyone in said building/base.
7b. You may only raid once every 5 minutes, and the same person 10 minutes.
7d. When you raid you must be in the general area of the building. (You cannot be sniping from afar or anything of the likes.)
7f. If somebody has a building sign up, you may not raid them. - (People often complain when their raided while building but they don't have a building sign up, please make sure you put one up if you are building!)
7g. You may not build while being raided.
8a. You may only mug for up to $1000.
8b. You can only mug once every 5 minutes and you may only mug the same person again after 10 minutes has passed.
8c. Do not kill people you mug if they give you the requested amount of money, this is considered RDM.
8d. You cannot mug the mayor, police or hobos.
9a. You can only kidnap for a maximum ransom of $5000, unless it is the mayor for whom you may have a ransom of up to $10000.
9b. You may only kidnap once every 5 minutes and the same person every 10 minutes, you can only hold a person hostage for 10 minutes.
9c. Anyone basing with the kidnap(ee) may counter the kidnap.
9d. Anyone basing with someone whos being mugged may counter.
9e. Only pd and base members may counter raid. You do not need to advert if you are countering NORMAL raids if you fit this criteria.
9f. You must be added to the player's doors in order to be considered "basing" with them.
10. Please do not argue with staff members, they know what is best. If there are any issues please bring it to the attention of higher-ups.
11. Do not spam any chat.
12. Gundealers must sell, it is otherwise considered FailRP.
13. Do not abuse bugs.
14. Do not demote people when there are staff online.
15. Do not micspam unless you are a Hobo with a stand.
16. Do not invite somebody into your home and then kill them because they passed your KoS sign.
17. Any KoS sign or building sign you put up must be easily visible to everyone. This means the sign should be in the open where people can see it and have medium-large text with high opacity.
18. You may kill people following you only when you have made it clear to them that you do not want them to, use warns 1/2/3 to do this.
19. Multi-binds are not allowed. you cant multi-bind "hitaccepted/raid/pdraid/carjack/kidnap/raidover/ect. Each action is a separate advert.
20. Do not impersonate staff members.
21. Your /job must be roleplay-ish and realistic. It must be a job that makes sense, can't be like "lol u suck" or "i am god".
22. Do not spam knocking on doors.
23. Do not use cheats, hacks, or exploits, it will result in a permanent ban.
24. You are responsible for your own account, if you let someone else use your account you won't be unbanned and any damage done to your account will not be reversed.
 
 
Base Rules
 
1. Keypads attached to fading doors must have a hold time of at least 5 seconds, no less.
2. Fading door abuse is not allowed. (i.e. fading a door without use of a keypad in any given instance)
3. Keypads must be visible and within close proximity of the fading door they are attached to.
4. You may only have 2 keypads for a single fading door, no more and no less.
5. Black bases are not allowed.
6. Crouching, jumping and maze bases are not allowed.
7. Other players must be able to shoot you in every position you are able to shoot them from.
8. You may only kill people on your property if you have a KoS sign marking the front of it.
9. You can have 5 fading doors per person basing.
10. Hobos may only have 1 fading door.
11. All one ways are allowed except for ones you can shoot through
12. You may only propblock the entrance to your base when you are building and if you have an easily visible building sign put up.
13. You may not farm/cook drugs or print money when you are building with a building sign up.
14. You may not have a invisible, or near invisible color, material, etc on any fading door of any kind.
15. You may not have two layered fading doors. A raider must be able to picklock every fading door to get in.
 
 
DarkRP Default Laws
 
1. Any weapons larger than pistols are by default illegal, smgs can be made legal, you may have any kind of gun on your own property.
2. Having any weapon out in public larger than a pistol can lead to being warned, failure to comply with said warning can lead to an arrest. (mayor can change this).
3. All printers and drugs are illegal (mayor can change the legal status of weed only).
4. Hits are always illegal.
5. Always warn before you arrest, unless the crime committed is obviously illegal.
6. Not listening to a law enforcement officer is illegal. You must follow all commands given by law enforcement officers.

Job Rules
 
Can Raid, Mug or Kidnap:
Thieves, Custom classes, Terrorists , and gangs (Bloodz, Cripz, etc.) may raid, mug and kidnap.
Kidnappers can raid to kidnap somebody. If someone who has been kidnapped breaks out of their bonds the kidnapper can kill them.
Hobos, doctors, bankers, security guards, gun/drug dealers cannot raid, mug or kidnap. Hobos can mug for up to $1000, this is the only exception.
Gangs must advert war on eachother before massacres start. Failure to do so will be considered RDM.
Terroist must /advert Terror before suicide bombing themselves.
 
Cannot have weapons bigger than a pistol
Hobos, doctors, and citizens cannot have weapons larger than a pistol.
Mayor can only have an SMG if said so on the law board.
 
Can Make Bases
All but hobos and hitmen can make bases indoors.
Hitmen (bounty hunters included) may not make bases at all.
Police and mayor must base in the PD.
Rivaling gangs (Cripz and Bloodz) may not base together.
Police, thieves, and gangs may not base with a doctor to heal them, or a gun dealer to sell exclusively to them, gun dealers must provide a path to make it possible for anyone to travel to them safely.
Doctors can either make a clinic by themselves, with another doctor.
Gun dealers must create a shop to sell guns from.
 
Can Place / Enforce Laws
All of the law enforcement officers (i.e The Police, FBI, and all SWAT units) must enforce laws that the Mayor makes.
The Mayor cannot make ridiculous laws such as "no jaywalking" or "hobos are KoS."
 
Can have Raidables (Including but not limited to weapons, drugs, printers, tools, etc.)
Thieves, gangs, terrorists and all custom classes can have raidables.
The police, the mayor, bartenders, kidnappers, doctors, bankers, and security guards cannot have raidables.
